Planning a trip shouldn't mean fifty browser tabs, a messy spreadsheet, and a group chat nobody reads. We built ButterTrip to bring it all together — so you spend less time organizing and more time adventuring.

Founder & CEO/Product
Tyler is a product leader with 14+ years building consumer products people love — from Stitch Fix (pre-IPO through scale) to launching Imperfect Foods' mobile apps to 60% adoption in month one. He started ButterTrip because the same tools he used to plan trips with friends were the exact kind of broken experience he'd spent his career fixing.

Founder & CTO
Julian is an engineering leader with 10+ years building and scaling systems across e-commerce, defense, and enterprise — from live military simulations at Leidos to unifying warehouse platforms at Misfits Market. He co-founded ButterTrip because he kept watching great trips fall apart in scattered tabs and threads — and knew the right architecture could make it effortless.
LinkedInEverybody we talk to has the same problem: bookings buried in email, flight details scattered across screenshots, half the group unsure what's happening on which day. Solo travelers, couples, friend groups. Everybody is duct-taping their trips together across a dozen apps and hoping nothing falls through the cracks. This all changes with ButterTrip.
Between us, we've spent over two decades building consumer products and engineering systems at companies like Stitch Fix, Imperfect Foods, and Misfits Market. This was exactly the kind of broken experience we'd spent our careers fixing. So we stopped complaining and started building.

We didn't just build a travel app — we built an AI engineering workflow that lets a two-person team ship with the velocity and rigor of a much larger one. It's become a product in its own right.
Every feature flows through a structured pipeline — requirements, tech spec, implementation plan, code — with AI accelerating each step while humans hold the pen on decisions.
Specialized AI agents handle implementation, code review, testing, and documentation in parallel. The same rigor a 10-person team brings, without the coordination overhead.
Every change passes through automated tests, type checks, linting, and multi-agent code review before it ships. AI writes the code, but the bar stays high.
We're developing this workflow alongside ButterTrip itself — refining it with every feature we ship. The engineering system is a product in its own right.
